EPDs are available for many of our admixtures

Sustainable construction is the foundation for responsible use of our resources. Economic, social and ecological factors are essential in the development of sustainable products. Many of our concrete admixtures, surface protection products and concrete colours already make a contribution to sustainability.
Against this background, the so-called environmental product declarations (EPDs) of the European Federation of Concrete Admixtures Associations Ltd. (EFCA) are of great importance. They are created in accordance with the requirements of the EN 15804 and ISO 14025 standards and determine the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle, from manufacture to disposal.

"The markets are becoming more and more transparent, and ecological performance data for products is also increasingly being requested from us. EPDs are an objective, effective instrument”, says Ulrich Meyer, managing director of Ha-Be Betonchemie.

EPDs are available for many of our concrete admixtures. These include superplasticizers and plasticizers, air entraining agents, retarders, accelerators, hardening accelerators and sealing agents.

Meyer: "EPDs enable us to specifically assess the sustainability of our products and to identify how to optimize them. We take this responsibility very seriously. Many of our concrete admixtures are already making a contribution to sustainability, for example by enabling energy-reduced production of concrete and improving the carbon footprint.”
